Five days in the Big Easy, staying with my friend Adam in Metairie. Then, a week in Gulf Shores Alabama.

This picture was taken from the plane window as we took off from Sky Harbor.

This statue was in the houston airport and features the 41st president's clothes being tugged at by a breeze. George Bush is stepping large and laughing easy.

The Winds of Change

The sun had recently set and the sky looked awesome. Lake Pontchartrain is beyond me.

Here he is, coming up alongside our boat

Swamp Tour Alligator

He kept trying to bite me, so I pulled the rubber-band off of my ponytail and wrapped it around his snout. That fixed him.

I Caught One

The tour guide tossed marshmallows at the alligators to get them alongside the boat

The Approach

Here we've left the boat and are beginning the hike through Jean Lafitte state park. The trail is made of wooden planks above the water surrounding us.
